Can it possibly be so?

Monday, July 31st, 2006

I have tears in my eyes posting these photos. In case you didn’t hear me say it before, I cannot believe HOW FAST my babies are growing up. Here is A just a few days old, hardly as big as R’s had drinking about 1 oz of milk (which was a lot at that time), next to a photo of A half R’s size, relaxing in his arms after a dinner of Pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. Wow, somebody please pinch me.

Brusha, brusha, brusha!

Monday, July 31st, 2006

So after months and months of teeth now, we decided WE BETTER START BRUSHING THEM! It’s really hard to brush the teeth of a one year old. We use a little flouride-free tooth paste that’s bubble gum flavored and brush them as well as we can, then we give the girls the brush to “play” with in hopes that they might clean off what we couldn’t get to. Oh well, hopefully it’ll get easier!

Book worm B

Monday, July 31st, 2006

In the last photo of B walking, she was walking over to the couch to read her book. She is obsessed with books. If she is at all fussy all you have to do is put her up on the couch with a book and she is immediately calm. If only it was THAT easy!

Our First Walker!

Monday, July 31st, 2006

It’s true, it’s true…. B is walking. At first it was just a step here, a step there, but tonight she took about ten steps in a row! So exciting and so frightening at the same time!

Peekaboo!

Monday, July 31st, 2006

The girls have just started playing with each other. Until recently it’s as if they have each been just another toy to each other… now it’s like they all the sudden realized… “wow, a play mate for me, how cool!” Here A plays peekaboo with C.

Early birthday present

Monday, July 31st, 2006

Grandmarg got the girls this cool John Deer Tractor for an early bday present…. C has decided it’s belongs to her. She goes right to it in the play room and pushes it around until she can’t push it anymore b/c it’s up against the wall, at which point she has a fit until I turn it away from the wall and she’s off again!

Uncle J!

Monday, July 31st, 2006

Uncle J comes to visit! The girls are all over him! We love you uncle J!

Nap time!

Monday, July 31st, 2006

Yes, that’s what I said…. NAP TIME… or at least that is what is supposed to be. C for some reason, has been boycotting naps. I just can’t for the life of me figure out why she wouldn’t want to take a nap????

Shall we gather at the river?

Saturday, July 22nd, 2006

The girls were fully immersed in baptism in the May River on Sunday July 16th at 3:30 in the afternoon. Pastor J.S. and Pastor T.C. together performed the ceremony. It was an amazing day and a truly extraordinary experience. The praise team played beautiful music such as “Amazing Grace” and “I saw the Light”. It poured rain right before the baptism and was stopped graciously by the Lord after a prayer by our worship leader D.S. The girls loved being in the river. It was a honor for R and I to dedicate our precious daughters to the Lord and to commit to raising our children to love and honor God. I have been thinking about what an awesome responsibility it is to teach, by example. Whooooo, the pressure is on, three fold!

Sweet J was here visiting again for the girls baptism… the girls just take to her right away, even after months of not seeing her. She is a natural with babies. You’ll be such a good mommy one day J, but first you gotta be a wifie….hint hint E … HAHA! JUST KIDDING!
