Wow, it’s been a LONG time. Sorry. It’s been a busy few months to say the least! Summer was a blast with the girls. We stayed in the water, whether it be the pool or the river almost the whole time. Just about every weekend was spent at the dock at Lalaland. What a GLORIOUS place to be. Our weekends are still spent there as we move into a beautiful fall. Our most important news is that baby boy Pratt is here! Oliver Ryan Pratt was born July 31st at 4:50 pm, weighing 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was 21.5

The girls have learned so much at Montessori school this year…. this list is so long. Everything from basics like letter sounds, rhyming words, matching, scooping, pouring, cleaning all the way to life skills like leaving their environment how they found it, working with a team, completing a project and developing their gifts and talents. Ryan and I have watched them blossom over this school year. Such a blessing! This morning they showed off their ability to WRITE THEIR OWN NAME!!! Yay girls!!!

But I FINALLY have a real true new years resolution. Okay, ready.. drum roll… it is to try my darndest to enjoy these fleeting moments with these precious little girls who are growing up faster than I can wash their towels and sheets! God has really shown me these past few weeks how I spend a lot of time worrying about all the “stuff” that needs to be done around here… and not enough time playing with my little girlies. So. This year, so help me GOD. I will get on the floor and play games and puzzles, more. I will dance around the living room to Mama Mia, more. I will watch and encourage them while they paint, or color, or ride their bike, more. I will be in the moment more with them. Because, in the end.. when they are all grown up and moving out of my house (gasp), it will NOT matter if my house was clean, or the emails were answered, or the blah, blah, blah. What will matter is the quality time that I have spent with them. That is all.
Let it be so.
